Default flywheel turned??

When installing a new torque converter do you need to have the flywheel/flexplate turned down like you do with a manual trans when you do a new clutch? I will be installing my new Yank converter here in a few weeks. Thanks in advance.

no you dont. the TC bolts to the flywheel with either 3 or 6 bolts. just unbolt the old one, drop the trans, replace TC and bolt it all back up. doesnt take too long
