Default smaller stall behind a 408

right now i have a 4200 (its crazy loose and actually stalls at like 5500). Would it be possible to run a smaller stall like say a 3600 or something without much trouble?

mods are: 408 stroker, 225 afrs, 243/249 cam, ported 90/90 intake setup, and bolt-ons if that matters

The only trouble in running it would be you have to swap the converter.
