A4 to M6 swap questions....

A4 to M6 swap questions.... I'm considering ditching the A4 for an M6....I'm trying to fine someone with an M6 so wants an A4, to make it an even swap...
My question is: What all is needed from me for him, and for him for me...make sense?
here is what I have so far: Tranny, center console, pedals, linkage...I would also need to have my car flashed with a M6 vin, right?
one last thing, would I have to have my car re-programmed? I have Edit as of now, but would I lose any custom tunning that I have?
anyway, all info and advice would be appreciated
