converter chioice Once again I apoligize for asking a truck (GM) question here, but there's really no one home at the truck forum, and I spend my time here anyway.
I have a slightly modded 93 that spends 95% of it's time on the street truck (when driven) but I do tow a trailer occassionaly. I've got a "blown" transmission that I've got to get rebuilt, and I'm looking for a reasonbly priced TC that will provide enough stall to inprove my performance, but still allow me to tow occasionally. I proably only drive the truck 150-200 miles a month, so I don't want or need a big money TC. (It'll take money away form my LS1 mods
) I presently have one from a C4 vette in it that provides around 2200 stall I think, but it may have metal in it form the trans. so I'm checking my options

I make a 12" high stall converter, about 22-2400. Sounds close to what you have now. LS1Tech price - $300. No core Charge. I sell a lot of these for a budget street driven cars and trucks, it should be perfect for you!

That does sound like what I THINK I need. How does it affect towing? I don't tow very often, but I do need to be able to pull a trailer occasionally without it burning up the trans.
You still retain full lock up, so for highway driving you will be fine. It will create a little extra heat on take off, but it should not cause any problems. It is a very mild stall.

I checked your website, but couldn't get any specific converters to pull up. Do you have the TC build specs (like furnace brazing etc) The truck's not highly modified, but it is a truck (read; fairly heavy)
) The converter will be furnace brazed, new torrington bearings, new high carbon clutch. I need to add to my website, I know.
