well i was going down the road yesterday and my ses light came on so i was like wtf. then i turned a corner and tried to go and it felt like my car was slipping real bad. come to find out it threw a p0756 code which means like 23 shift solenoid bad (no 1st or 2nd gear) but then i cleared it and the problem was fixed. do you think its because i have a 3k stall? i have a hypertech tuner but it doesnt have an option to input a 3k stall, just adjust mph. what should i do?
The problem may not be solved. When a dtc is thrown the trans goes into limp mode. When you clear the code, if the problem is not a hard code, the trans will work. This might mean your solenoid is starting to fail or something possibly worse. Your stall has nothing to do with this problem. Most of the 4 and 6 cylinder cars have a sizeable stalls, (2200-3800), to get into the powerband. If you change the characteristics of your engine such as a cam change, you would require a stall change to get into the cam's powerband. Hope this helps.

Actually that code is regulary seen with high stall cars, AWhat happens is the pcm comands 3rd gear and the RPM do not drop to the level the PCM exspects so the PCM does not thing the 2-3 shift ocurred, Remember the 4L60E does not have and input speed sensor and uses engine rpm to determine what happening, The general cure for this issue is to delete the test for the code in programing sand that solves the issue.
Above mentioned are 4 and 6 cylinder cars and they do have higher stalls however the PCM is also programed for a higher tolerance to these, There are many threads of limp mode after a stall, Sometimes it happens imediatley.Sometimes its may not happen for a while or spurratically only when certain conditions are met. I am not sure it hypertect tuners has a place to delete the test for this code. I know efilive does along with a few others,
