Default What can I expect???

All, I really now about Torque Converter is that it supposibly keeps A4's in the battle against M6's. Can someone please explain what I could expect if I got one? What the number means with it? LOCKING UP? Hoping to get one for my A4 soon, but decided I want to learn more bout them first

the idea is to go with a bigger stall so you are higher into your powerband when you launch. they usually muliply torque more than stock so you have more torque at your stall speed than you would with the stock converter. the problem with a bigger stall is that you will have to rev the car higher when driving around town in order to get moving. locking up mean the clutch in the converter engages and the converter stops slipping even under its stall speed.
