A4 with 4.10s ROCK!
A4 with 4.10s ROCK! I finally got the nerves up to take the car for a WOT pass after the transmission rebuild and all i can say is the car feels AWSOME! The 4.10s spin the motor over alot quicker than the 3.73s. At WOT the rpms jump fast and pulls VERY HARD in 3rd gear. It was hard to tell what 2nd gear was doing because of the tires spinning but when it hooked it got to 6400 fast and shifted very smoothly and sharp (thanks to a new beefer tranny <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> )but the most thing that impressed me was the shift extention picked up 200-300rpms and made a noticeable difference <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> . Now all i need is to install the new TCS 4200 and see how well it all does together <img border="0" alt="[burn out]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_burnout.gif" />

Re: A4 with 4.10s ROCK! At 60mph im taching around 2300 rpms. With my application with 26x10 ET Drags i could assume a good .1/1mph gain in ET but on a stock internal motor i would say very little gains from 3.73s because with my cam i need to cross at a higher rpm across the traps to take full advantage of my power band.
