There is a company out there that makes adapter plates. Untortunately I forgot their name. Do a search in the hybrid section. You will probably have integration issues with the electronics once you get it bolted up.

Roger, use a 4R70W. If you go to http://www.tccoa.com and read the tranny articles. You will see that that tranny can be built to handle nearly 1000 hp easily.

For a Ford tune, go to http://www.reinhartautomotive.com/ ,
http://www.fordchip.com or several others using the same programming by the best Ford tuner in the business. Thay all know how to make the 4R70W behave properly for day to day and 1/4 mile use.

Roger,
We have adapter plates for that swap, along with transmissions/torque converters/stand-alone Transmission controller etc.
You can check everything out at www.tciauto.com
or give me a call at (662)224-9355.
Take Care,
Kevin

Fordchip is problaly the best kept secret in the business, not enough people know about them, but those who do, will not be disapointed. they know the ford trannys very well, as well as how the EEC works, instead of the other "tuners" who backwards engineer to try to figure out what the EEC tables do.

Ryan.
