Default 4L60E question

a friend of mine is modding his c5 vette with the 4L60E in it and questions have came up.

he's on spray and looking to putting it on a tire soon. my question is, will the stock trans hold up to launches at the track with a sticky tire (either a DR or full slick)

is there other things to worry about breaking besides the input and output shafts?

any info and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

There are alot of things besides those, The input sprag would be a bigger worry. On the 1-2 shift the sun shell. No one can say how long the stock trans can hold. Some get lucky and do well , Many dont, I allways say dont start building the car to make moe powe without anticipating that you will need a trans in relativley short order, That way If your lucky for a long while super. But if not you knew you were gonna have to do it anyway.
