Default T56 to auto

I'm swapping my 6spd for an auto, which one is recommended? 350, 400, or powerglide? Thanks!

Well there is no way anyone can make a recommendation with the information provided.

Vehicle, powerplant, weight , intended use, power adder, gear, tire type and size all play a role in determining the right gearbox.

Post up that info and we'll go from there.

car weighs 3400, headers, true duals, lid, trak cam, 4.10 gears,150 shot, 275/50/15, ran 7.18 at 98mph, still has stock 10 bolt for now, looking for a new rear. Thinking about a turbo 350, what do i do to make it work?

Personally speaking, if I were to make a material change to the transmission in this car, and if it is dedicated to 80% drag racing at the Track.... I would go to a PowerGlide.

The TH350 is a terrific choice, but it has more rotating mass and does not have as strong of a geartrain as the Glide. Not to mention the Glide has less moving parts. And they both have the same Direct gear ratio of 1:1.
