Default Problems with my A4 not down shifting, help

<img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

I've had my Vigi 3200 in for about 2000 miles or so & have had no problems out of it at all. Last weekend I finished putting in my cam, headers, ORY & my B&M tranny 19k cooler. It ran fine until I ran a friend tonite. Shortly after I ran him I noticed the rpms going way up when I left from a light, at first I thought it was stalling up higher but wasn't sure. I pulled over & checked out my tranny lines going to the new cooler to ensure they didn't get blown off & they were secure & no fluid leaking anywhere & the tranny fluid level is right where it should be, just like it was after I topped it off. After getting off the freeway, I noticed it still doing the same thing so I manually downshift & it drives fine, I figured out that it is just not downshifting. I have heard of people having trouble on the newer A4's with converters & downshift problems but when I tried to search I come up with almost nothing. I'm not sure if all the search indexes are good since the forums have had some problems with the search feature.

Anyhow, has anyone else had this problem? I'm planning on changing my gears & getting a tune next week, but if my tranny is shot I may have to put it off. Hell, the car only has 3800 miles on it.

My mods are:
Vig 3200
B1 Cam
JetHot LT's
Hooker ORY
B&M 19k tranny cooler
Stock unmolested MAF with screen intact
Grount TB stop
I drilled the TB hole out by maybe a 1/32 or so & opened up the TB with the set screw to keep it idling.

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

Are you sure you're having a downshifting issue? If the rpms are going higher than normal before changing to the next gear, than it's an upshifting issue.

Maybe I'm just mis-understanding? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Maybe you're trying to say that the car is "stuck" in a higher gear than 1st even when you come to a stop and then start moving again?

Well, I got home from work & decided to take the Trans Am for spin to see if it was still having problems shifting but it seems to be shifting correctly now. I'm not sure what happened but I'm going to beat on it again tonite & see if it happens again. I think once I get my tuning done it will run fine. (fingers crossed)

Yes, it seems like it's stuck in 3rd. So it's not downshifting when I come to a stop ro when I slow down. It's also not upshifting into 4th. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
