3 days ago my Service engine soon & oil change lights came on. My tranny has been acting weird since the lights came on. When I switch from Park to Drive it kicks in hard and under normal driving it kicks hard into 2nd and into 3rd a little bit softer.

I checked the tranny fluid and it's at the normal level and doesn't look discolored. I haven't been able to check my MAF yet. My buddy recently did all of the free mods on my car and descreened my maf.

Do you think this might have caused it. I've been looking forward to going to the track this coming up Weds and want to try to resolve this quickly. There's no advanced auto or Auto zone close to me and I don't want to pay a GM dealership $100 to check the code. Any help or insight would be appreciated....

 

Maf mod is likley but you really need to get those codes somehow.

 

Im going to check with the Service manager at work and see if one of his tech have a universal scanner. I work at a Nissan dealership. I don't want to ruin my trans but then again it could be a good excuse to tell the fiance I need a new trans

 

Good point and yes a nissan dealer will have a OB2 scanner
