Paddle Shifter...

That would be pretty damn sweet but I have never seen it done before, I can't imagine the technical side of it. I would be dumbfounded and confused if I hoped in a 1968 'Bird with a paddle shifter from 21st century F1 racing technology. It would definately be something people would love or hate; I for one would love it.
A while back I saw some kid on the internet that rigged up a paddle shifter in a subaru or something, cant even remember what any more. All he did was rewire **** so the TCU didnt controll shifts anymore and it was left up to him then he wired the up and down shift paddle directly to the corrosponding solonids in his tranny.

There are some guys on pro-touring.com using them. They refer to them as a shrifter I think. From all I have heard they work and work well. You can run full auto and also run it as a manual with the shrifter.
