Default Strange noise.

I have a question. My car is making a strange noise now that it didn't do before the converter was put in. Whenever it locks up at a slow speed (where it hits like 1300rpm or less) it makes a strange little clunky rattling kinda kind of noise. I don't know how to explain it exactly, but it definitely wasn't there before the stall. It sounds like a bunch of little kinda high pitched "rr rr r rr rr r r rr rr rrr" noises. lol. I don't know if those things explain it at all right or not. It only makes the noise when I touch the accelerator a little bit too, it doesn't do it when I'm coasting or slowing down. Also, it could be doing it higher in the rpms on the highway and stuff, but I just can't hear it because of my exhaust noise. I don't know that it's doing it up there though.

Any ideas at all what it is? Or more importantly if it's important? It's just a little annoying is all if it isn't a problem.

I think that's what people refer to as converter chatter... I have the same problem. They say with a tune I think we're supposed to lower our lock up mph and it'll stop. I hear ya though man... Annoying. I'm pretty sure it's not bad on them though... Just part of it. I could be WAY off though

Chatter is a good word for it, so I would assume that's the same thing I'm talking about. Is it a common thing then with aftermarket converters? What did you mean by the "I'm pretty sure it's not bad on them though... Just part of it."?

Sorry lol... I mean that I have never heard of it being bad on a converter, just annoying. Until you get a transmission tune it's just going to be part of it... I read going up about 5 mph on your converter lock up point will quiet it down. ??? I wish others would chime in...

Yeah that would be nice... lol. I did get a tune for it, but I got it before it was in, if that makes any sense o_O. haha. I got a full tune, and my converter hadn't arrived yet when I was scheduled for the tune, so I just had him do what was necessary for it without it in yet. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't raise the lockup speed though.
