Well I figured out the engine proplems in my recently aquired 95 Z28 now its time to figure out the tranny issue. When you turn it over it makes a loud clunk Knock and clang noise thought it was the motor but it is not while the engines running at idel or at throttle. Also rulled out losse converter bolts and starter bolts when I checked it and there is no fly wheel cover to hang up on but it dose it when I shift into any gear. Also it seems it short shifts in to second from first and it dosent kick down when I slam the gas but it will shift all the way down in when I stop. I ve had a 4l60e in my 2000 ta that had a stall and this one feels like it prloads to 2000 rpm while stalling and I diffently feels like a shift kit. Lastly it holds the first gear shift at low accerration and as soon as I step on it it shifts. ANy help to figure this out will help.
