Tranny slipping, repair question

There is a guy we might take it to, but He mentioned the clutch my have something wrong with it as well. He quoted 1200........what do you guys think?

also this is the second time this tranny will be worked on (once under wrnty) I'm wondering If i should just buy a new tranny? maybe a different one?
