Default Front Pump Install..

I think mine might be screwed. I will test it tomorrow to see if that is what is wrong.

IF so, how hard is it to change? Is it something easy to do, once the tranny is out? Looking at the pictures it looks like a few bolts holding it in.

Has anyone done this? Pointers?

You must have an alignment band to put the pump halves back to together. If you do not use an alignment then one of two things could happen:

1) The pump will not go back the trans

2) The seal on the stator will be cut

You will want to tear down the tranny to clean any metal out of it (there may not be any).
When carefully reinstalling the pump, use Vaseline to lube the seals on the pump stator.

Hey 99taw, It's more than a few bolts, you'ev got to pull the tcc switch, and filter, than pull the bolts out, be careful not to pry the pump out, as the case is very fragile and prying on it can break it. I agreee with Kevin tho, you've gotta get the metal out and check the condition of the clutchs. One of the most important things to remember when working on your tranny is Not to force anything, this maybe an over statement but you've gotta be careful. I hope this helps.
