TCC Question

Will a raised idle (from an untuned cam) cause the TCC to not kick in?

Bump I'd like to figure this out so I don't need to dig into the cars electrical components.

No, the raised idle will not cause an inhibited lock up condition. But, an untuned PCM easliy could. The reason is that the TPS vs Vehicle speed has changed depending on the cam that was installed.

My recommendation would be to have the car scanned while driving it in order to determine whather or not Lock Up is being commanded... and if not then determine why. If it is being commanded then of course there is some sort of a mechanical malfunction.

Let's start with the obvious though. Get a scanner on it and let's work from a position of strength.... do that and get back to us.
