Default Transgo shift kit?

I just bought a shift kit and about to put a stall in my car. I am having one of my friend do the install, all i wanted to know is there any modifaction you have to do to the valve body? I heard you have to drill it out but what about reverse? I heard of some people drilling it out and you have to rev it up real high in reverse to even roll? Any help is appreciated!

Hey slickwillie, Read a fallow the directions in the shift kit, Drill only the holes to the size indicated, DO NOT DEVIATE from them, and you"ll have a very firm shifting tranny. It also addresses some of the other problems with these units. Yes, you will be working with the valve body extensively, I can't stress this enough, Drill only when and where instructed to do so.....don't add your own sizes of drills. I hope this helps you.
