Default When is an aftermarket flexplate needed?

I dont have a stock one or an aftermarket one, but I will be in need of one for my conversion. So, Im wanting to know if I should just stick with a stock one or if I should consider an aftermarket one? My car currently has all the bolt-ons, a cam/valvetrain, and a few supsension mods. The only other thing that I plan to do it other than the conversion is heads and possibly nitrous, but that will probably be down the road. Heads for sure, but N2O a possibility. Anyhow, N/A when I get heads, I see 450rwhp easy with my set up now. Im currently pushing 417rwhp/387rwtq, but when a few changes, can squeeze out a few more. I know that my numbers will drop when I convert, but with the 200-R4, they wont drop as much as they would with a 4L60E. I cant say how much power exactly Ill be pushing in an auto with heads, but I know for sure that Im above average. I know that lots of you would say just stick with a stock flexplate if I already have one, but I dont...so what would you get? What kind of advantages does an aftermarket one have than a stock one? (lighter, stronger, etc.) Sorry for all the questions, but any help is much appreciated. Thanks

10.99 is when you need an SFI one to be legal. But in all honesty no one will beable to check when you tech in. But with that said its your legs. You can put a stock one in and save a few bucks but lose a foot if not more. Or you can put an SFI one in and sleep easier konwing you will keep both your feet while racing your car.
