Tranny cooler with 3600 converter?
Would it be a good idea to run a camaro with a 3500-3800 converter with 3.73's in the rear without a transmission cooler? I really think it would be a good idea but the idea was brought to my attention by a friend of mine. I dont want him to smoke hit trans just cause he didnt use a cooler. This car WILL see drag strip use and a 100+ hp shot of nitous any info and oppinions would be greatly appriciated.

I would seriously recomend a tranny cooler. get the biggest one you can. I got the BM 24,000 GVW from thunder. I paid about 68 shipped. I have a stock stall now, but my TCI 3500 is going in this week.
Before my fan changes with ls1edit to make the low speed fan come on at 185 and stay on, and cooler install my tranny temps would get up over 200 pretty quickly after cruising and banging on the car.
I banged on the car for about 30-45 minutes lastnight with various shifts, rolls, 125 shot pulls, and the highest temp I saw was 162 degrees. This was in about 40 degree ambient air.
