Default switching from 4l60e to th350

Will the bell housing be the same bolt pattern?Also do I need any tuning IE tqmanagment ect..Shifter can I make the factory one work or do I need to get a aftermarket?
If I'm correct I need a long tail shaft 350 to make it work with the driveshaft,then what about the torque arm?

sorry for all the questions I've been through 3 4l60e's in less than 2 month I'm sick of it.

How much NOS are you shooting??
If u are shooting too much NOS, your stock TC will go and super overheat your tranny.
Why loose the 4 gears. 4L60E's are not THAT flimsy. Who is rebuilding your tranny?
Go to a proper tranny Co. do it right and install a transcooler and a good TC like yank YP3600E.
Spray only 100 shot and your tranny will last much longer.
I have friends that have over 300 passes on a built 4L60E.
If you spray more than 100 you have to mod your valvetrain anyway otherwise heads will go too.
TC, trans cooler, 100 shot dry are my next mods

The 2-4 band usually goese out in the trans along with 3-4 clutch teeth gettin knocked off,I upgraded to 9 clutches/steels in 3-4,then I got a 3/8 wider than stock 2-4 band with red race clutch material..I also have a trans go kit with a cooler I spray 150 most of the time but when $$$ gets involved I spray a little more I got two half *** passes out of this trans in less than three days on the street.All my problems strated when I rim screwed the wheels...hooks way to hard.I dont want to sacrafice the 4th gear but I do a lot of street racing in this car and dont feel like tearing it down a few times a month.

Also who makes a torque arm for the th350 converstion?

You are looking in the right direction...
TransKing TH350 w/ trans brake
BMR extreme duty torque arm
Moser 12 Bolt
Custom Driveshaft
B&M pro ratchet
You will need to fabricate a tranny mount.
You might check with Madman Racing, he is a sponsor and does alot of these conversions.

so what about any tuning when goin from a 4L60E to a th350 or th400?? My 4L60Es ben rebuilt 3 times since last nov, and ive been tryin to save for a swap but other parts keep cuttin in line such as the TNT kit and duals. but does anyoen make a crossmember? and would true duals have any affect on a differently setup tranny/torque arm?

I already have a th350+a 400 but I'm trying to go the cheap(er) route.How much $$$ are we talking for a new tq arm?

My car is down right now also because of broken 4L60-E. I'm going with the Pro Yank 4L60-E to replace my stock trans. The TH350 TH400 swap is really popular, especially lately it seems. It's probably a better way to ensure that you won't have problems, but my car is my daily driver, and I wouldn't be able to live without OD.
