Default Another "Which Converter" thread

Ok, I've read the countless "which converter should I get?" threads, and I've got a few questions myself.

My car is a 2.73 car and that isn't going to change. The gears are staying. With a lid and a catback it runs 13.43 @ 104.8mph. I do not want to lose MPH. I'd be happier running say, a 13.2 @ 106 than I would running a 13.0 or 12.9 @ 103. So I'm willing to trade some off the line "ummpff" for top end power.
Sticking to that criteria, anyone care to make a solid recommendation?
Has anyone here actually gained MPH off of a converter? If so, which one?

I think people were saying the Yank PT series was good from a roll.

Far as I know if you want more mph you need more horsepower and converter will eat up small amount of mph.

Yank PT convertors are extremely efficient and give good topend. The 5800 shift extension was too much for me so I went SS3600.
