Is there a write up anywhere around on how to do this on a f-body? I'm not debating on whether i can or not i just like to read about it and know exactly how to do it before i get in to it to save time.

Idk about the write up, but it's well explained in my hanes repair manual and i did mine.

Jack the car up and place it on jack stands. Use a jack with a peice of wood inbetween the jack and the trans pan and give it very light pressure. Their will be a bolt in the middle of the crossmember that you unbolt. raise the tranny with the jack, unbolt to old one out, replace, and reverse instructions. Very simple really, nothing you cant do in about 30-45 min for the 1st time.

Edit: Make sure when you jack the trans up that your not going to high, otherwise you will be jacking the trans into the floorboard.
