Problems installing gears

Problems installing gears So I started this Saturday, and nothing has worked out in my favor so far. I'm replacing my stock 2.73s with 3.73s. I have a takeoff 3 series carrier from SLP (got it a long time ago) and my new Motive 3.73s (and an install kit of course). On Saturday morning I pulled the old diff out and measured the original pinion depth (2.303"). I looked the new carrier over and noticed a huge dent in one of the bearings. On Saturday there were NO shops open that could press the new bearings on for me, so I was stuck until today.
This morning I started to take out the old pinion. I took the pinion nut off and started banging on the back of the pinion (with the nut loosely threaded. After more than a half hour of banging, I wasn't getting very far, so I though it would help to take the yoke off first. Well Thats not coming off very well either... Any advice here???

Re: Problems installing gears Of course right after I posted this the yoke came off.. then one relatively light tap of the hammer sent the pinion out of the differential. Now I have another problem... my install kit is missing some pieces!! I don't have the front bearing for the pinion (the big one). I have the small bearing that goes near the end of the pinion shaft, but not the big one that's near the teeth... can I reuse the one from the old pinion (assumming I can get the thing off!)???
