You won't have 4th gear/overdrive with a TH350. Unless you're running some serious power, I'd get a competent builder to build you a stout 4L60E.

A few people like the 350 conversion but many maybe most don't in fact we sell alot of 4l60e to people who did that swap and are coming back, You might think its cheaper but in reality not even close, You loose as mention above 4th and lockup meaning 30 to 40 percent more fuel use for regular driving , At present gas prices any small amount you would save would be gone many times over in just a few weeks, Plus a built 350 is not IMO substaintially stronger than a 4l60e they are actually quite similar in several ways

I agree stay with the 4l60-e, I have the performabuilt stage 2 that holds up to my 600HP. The reason i choose performabuilt is there excellent customer service and there transmissions are bad ***.

you need lockup and 4th gear. the cheap route will cost more in the end.

It is not an inexpensive nor easy conversion. It will not "bolt right in".

Many conversions that are done properly can and do approach and exceed $4,000.00. I know this because we do them here frequently.

If you would like to explore some options feel free to give me a call at the shop.
