is the bs3 worth $2800 i have a motor and tranny and now i need the computers and wire harness's for both.....would it be worth just saving the coin for the bs3 controller or gathering up 2 computers and wiring harnesses....i have a ls1 from a 2000 camaro and a 99 tranny from another...any suggestions? im thinking it would come out to be the same price wise when all is said and done......
Why not use a single stock PCM and harness, it controls both the engine and tranny?
The BS3 is a sweet way to go for a race car though, but it doesn't control your stock guages and stuff, you'll still need a stock PCM for that.

How modded is the motor? If the current or future mods are big and bad I'd just go ahead and get the BS3. Don't forget you get a scan tool, tuning, 2 step, wideband etc all with the BS3.

as you can tell im new to this motor, its going into a 67 c-10.....when all is said and done the motor will just have the topend done....ls1 with either the patriot 5.3 stage 2 heads or 243 heads with alittle work done to them, a fast 92 92 setup and i want the biggest cam i can put in it...so im figuring no more than 480hp.....will a stock harness and pcm work if the motor and tranny are from different year vehicles?
