Default 4l80E Lock Up Question Help?

I swapped an 80 into my 2000 camaro just got it out, a couple of issues im wondering on, when the converter locks up it makes a bad clunking noise, when im driving at cruise speed it seems like the converter is locking and unlocking? Any sugestions.

it will unlock when you get below 2% throttle...dunno on the clunking noise....

ya, its when im crusing at about half throttle going say 70mph the converter locks and unlocks not sure what the issue is. My tuner is awesome so i hope he can get her sorted

Are you throwing an codes at all? I have read that if you are throwing codes it can force the converter to lock and unlock like you are describing. Not sure about the clunking sound.

loose converter bolts? tq arm bolts? send the converter in for inspection, have the lock apply slower.

Not throwin any codes, torque arm is all tight gonna pull the cover and check converter bolts tonight, thanks for the avice guys

If you didn't swap out your computer strategy when you swapped to an 80 you'll run into problems with converter lock-up, one of which could be the clunking noise you describe.
