quick help needed!!! 95 4l60e into 96 transam ive been told it will work fine,and ive also been told i have to switch the VSS and tailhousing from the 96 trans to the 95 trans,and then everything will work properly...
can ANYONE for sure tell me if this will work or not?

The 95 uses a different 3-2 shift solenoid and this would need to be swapped. There may possibly be some 3-2 downshift feel differences with this swap since the strategy is different but from some past experience I have not noted anything noticeable however these units also had the mod done from the transgo HD2 to the 3-2 regulator valve.
Beyond this and the possible need to swap or rewire the vss, There should be no issue with the swap.

currently my trans has 1st and 3rd,if i accelerate,it starts out in first gear,and when i get to about 2500 rpms in first,if i let off the gas a little bit,it will click right into 3rd gear,and the lockup function still works,it never goes into OD.
just have to drop the pan its the one on the passengers side front of the trans, You may also need to swap the internal trans wiring harness if the plug will not plug in again not very hard.

another thing im rather curious about,since the 94/95 trannys have the "performance shift" button,what sort of shifts will be expected in my obd2 96? since mine obviously doesnt have this button,and i beleive the default shift mode is with perfomance shift OFF..im also pretty positive that this is in the PCM programming,im just wondering what to expect when i swap this trans in.
The effect will be the same as the other trans its a pcm function not a trans function
