Default Is my trans on its way out?

hey guys just wondering what this could be. Cruising down the highways at 50-55mph and everything fine, all of the sudden, my torque converter unlocks and i cant get it to lock back up. Anyway, the car sat for pretty much two days, and then when i went back home it worked fine and still is...what could this be? tune?

Get the computer scanned to see if any trouble codes were thrown. That might help us out here a bit. Obviously misfires, failing converter, high trans temps, and so on could be a possibility. Lets start with getting the computer scanned for codes. Vince

It may be unlocking due to engine missfire , The PCM detects them and unlocks the converter, This may not set a code , Thing is you need to get a scanner or tuner on it and see if the PCM is commanding the unlock .
