Default Is my converter OK??

Last year I installed a 2800 Vig in my car. One week later the pump blew up. Im assuming the verter was not clicked in all the way. The only visible damage to the verter was the HUB was chewed up on the end. So I sent the verter off to a place in Oklahoma (B&I Converter) and they put a hub on it. When I got it back the hub looked to long, so I called P.I. to ask how many inches from mounting pad to the top of the hub. They told me it was 6.510 inches. The hub that the other place put on is exactly 6.510 inches. Im hesitant to use it now just because of my bad luck. Would you guys use it on your car?

If they fixed it to spec, what is your concern?
