Default Input drum install HELP

Looking for any helpful hints or tricks on the install. ( 4L60E ) I will be installing the Input drum back to the pump and valve body.. So any help would be great. THANK BRian

just make sure you get one for the 4L60E..do not let anyone tell you the 4L65E works..IT DOESN'T! It's relatively easy to install..just don't tear the teflon seals around the shaft when you put it into the pump. and make sure you freeze the drum with the seals on so they can set in..i used black tape , but I think they make a sizing tool for them..

What kind of tools do you have? You need a clutch spring depressor, lock ring pliers. You CANNOT go without these two tools.

You can do different things to get the sealing rings stretched and resized. You also need to get all the clutch clearances set right.
Make sure that thin o-ring inside the drum gets put on.

the input drum was built for me im just installing it ....
