Trans mount question
Ok recently I had my stock Trans mount on my 98 A4 changed to a Energy Suspension one because the stock one broke. Its horrible, the car vibrates like crazy and nearly drove me insane on my recent 10 1/2 hour trip to Arkansas. The shop who installed it said that I could buy another stock one but ill probably just keep breaking them. They said the 1LE trans mount was a good compromise but GM no longer sells it. Does anyone have a solution to this problem or should I just suck it up and take it as part of having a fast car just like bad gas mileage.
I had no problems with interior vibrations in my Chevelle. I ran a Turbo 350 w/a energy suspension poly mount. Might wanna take it to another shop or another tech at the shop your using to have them take a look and make sure everything is kosher.
Mine caused a lot of rattles at first. Seems that it is getting better the more I drive with it. I still notice more than the stock one, but it's better than the y-pipe hitting the bottom of the car.
