where to mount tranny cooler
I think my way was pretty easy. I pulled the washer reservoir, replaced it with one from an Oldsmobile and mounted it under the driver's side headlamp; removed the upper and lower cooling baffles from in front of the condensor/radiator; and hung my coolers off the back of the bumper bar. I also went so far as to cut holes into the bumper absorber, enlarge the existing holes in the bumper bar, and angle the coolers so they also get some pressurized air from the lower air deflector that pushes the air, at speed, into the condensor/radiator. It looks like a lot, but I lost a little weight by removing the large reservoir, removed the baffles and actually improved my coolant temperatures, and cleaned up that area from how it was before. I can actually feel air being pulled through the holes in the absorber/bumper bar, right across and through the coolers. Yours will be easier because you have a single and a fan, but the way I did it may be a good option.
