Default Stage III 4L60 - Car doesn't move! HELP!

Here's the complete story from start to finish, it's got quite a background at this point.

Took the car to a shop to have heads/cam installed. The shop is approximately 100 miles away. On the way home, the stock tranny decided to go. I believe it was the 3-4 clutch pack becuase I ended up losing 3rd and 4th gear... it would just rev up in those gears and refuse to accelerate.

Got the car home, installed a Stage III I had purchased from one of the sponsors (I'd prefer not to say who until we determine the problem). The tranny was finicky... the shifts were sloppy and I wasn't sure if it was a fluid deprivation issue but it seemed to be fine, so I kept an eye on it. Then about two weeks later I had a c-clip failure on the semi-flared cooler lines and it blew a ton of fluid out as I was driving. Couldn't stop fast enough and I guess I blew too much out and fried the clutch packs again.

Now the tranny builder was really cool and rebuilt the tranny for me free of charge (I just paid one half the round trip freight). Now we finished putting the newly rebuilt tranny in (same tranny as was in before, just rebuilt) and now the car will not move at all! It doesn't idle down when shifting through the gears and the motor just revs like it's in neutral in every gear including reverse.

The even though it doesn't move we've pushed it around and found that it will lock in park, and move freely in all other gears. I've double and triple checked everything and can't figure out what the problem is.

I was reading through the Helms manuals I have and the only thing is suggests is a torque converter problem so this is my only other guess. I'm running an ST3500 that I've had for approximately 12,000 miles. It was in the original stock tranny, and now the new tranny (on two different occaisions )... could try the stock converter but after just finishing the install up and on Friday afternoon we put it in about 60% of the way before we realized the converter hadn't clicked completely into place so we had to drop it all over, so it's like we've done the install twice just this weekend alone. So R&R'ing the converter is one of the last things I want to do at this moment, especially if it's unnecessary.

Can anyone give me any help? PSJ, you're an A4 guy right? HELP!!!!

Have you checked to see if you have any fluid pressure at all. remove one of the cooler lines and see if it is pumping any fluid at all. may have to put it in drive or just run selecter thru the gears to make sure. Sounds like your front pump is not working. possible ears broken on front pump drive.

You nailed it, checking line pressure was one of the first things someone else locally suggested so we pulled a line off, started it up. Sure enough, no pressure whatsoever.

We narrowed it down that it must be the front pump (whether it's just totally shot or the ears are broken) since the converter is fine and pushed on all the way and the two "teeth" on the top of the converter shaft are still in tact so it must be turning the pump unless the ears are gone.

Thanks for your help nonetheless!

Hopefully a new pump will resolve the issue!

Are you by chance running a HPP with the line pressure set to 100%?

That can blow the front pump.

I had been for a while, but after the H/C were installed all hypertech tuning was removed so this tranny never experienced hypertech tuning.
