Transgo Shift kit
Transgo Shift kit I'm about to get a Transgo shift kit for my 98 A4 TA. I was wandering if you have to reprogram the PCM in any way after its installed? And what level would you set the transgo on? I want in to bark 2nd gear good.
Re: Transgo Shift kit No programing needed. I put one in my car and since I have a 3500 stall I put all three washers in mine(hard shifts). Even with 2.73 gears it will bark the tires on the 1-2 shift at about half throttle...or incinerate them through first and second at full throttle. If you have a stock converter I would only do one or two washers...but hey it's your car set it up the way you like it. Have fun and be carefull when installing the 4th gear servo...my gasket fell off and I lost 4th gear for a while. After removing the valve body 3 more times and talking to Transgo on the phone several times(excellent customer service) we figure out it was the gasket. Pulled the servo installed the gasket and Viola...4th gear worked.
