Default How does this cable shift the tranny?

There are two cables that are connected to the TB. What does the one to the far left do? I just bought my Trans Am and it is missing. I know it has to do something. My tranny will shift out of first only if I let off the gas, after that it runs perfect.

it has nothing to do with the tranny, all computer controlled. the one on the right in that pic is the throttle cable, the left is the cruise control.

Default tranny

That makes sense. The one to the left is missing still. I am taking it Monday to a Tranny shop. I hope it is just a computer problem. The car shifts great once out of first. For some dumb reason it won't shift untill I left off the gas. It is like it just doesn't not know when to shift. Any ideas?

You need a rebuild. It sounds like bad clutches. If you turned up the pressure on the fluid it would probly shift ok for a little while but it needs a rebuild.

u might not have a cruise cable. if u don't have cruise or have traction control, u don't have that cable. so its probably not missing.

Default tcs

Yeah I have the Tcs switch. So how do I turn up the pressure on the fluid. I had another Tranny but when I put it in the torque convertrer I did not line it up properly and I broke one of the clips inside the tranny. Is it hard to replace?
