Still hitting rev limiter between 2-3!!! Okay...I thought it was the teanny clutches so i install a new stage II tranny...That wasnt it. At WOT it slams into the limiter and bounces a few times before the shift. It did this with the stock 3:23's and fresh 3:73's..so i dont think its a mph issue. The car is also upshifting at 5600 rpm in the 1-2 shift. LS1-Edit has both set at 6400 from what Im told by the tuner. I do have a little exhaust banging perhaps...could this be a knock sensor issue? It only seems to bang off the line once or twice. The 2-3 shift issue does not happen if I take off from a roll, only from dead stop at the track.
PS...went from 12.445 @ 114 to 12.285 @111 with the addition of the gears, the tranny and from the stock converter to a TCS 3500. The air was TERRIBLE on the second set of runs (after mods) and great on the 1st set.
60's went from 2.1 to 1.7
Anyone??? Lastly, can I adjust my shift points with affecting my motor tuning?

Re: Still hitting rev limiter between 2-3!!! If you have HPP or can get someone with edit to fix your shift points after you Autotap it.As long as your PCM is not "locked"by the tuner you can change shift points with the above methods.If Cartek did your tune I doubt it is locked.
Shift points are not easy to do on the dyno.At the track it would have been ideal to get an Autotap run to see if KR was present and where your shift points are at.
BTW,I think you would have gone 11s if your shift points were on the money.

I had th4e same problems last year ..If I ran the car in 3rd the car would hit the limiter on the 1-2 and the 2-3..I did a search here on this site and someone recommended putting the car in 4th (OD)..I did and the problem went away..Some people with H/C have had this problem but putting it in OD (4th) mine fixed itself and have had np problems since..I did have to move my 3-4 shiftpoint up some to keep it from going into 4th before the traps..

Re: Still hitting rev limiter between 2-3!!! I was also plagued with the 2-3 rev limiter bounce. You need your rev limiter set at least 200rpms > than your highest shift rpm.
You should invest in Edit and DIY. Hell you bought every thing else for it. I'm jealous... I'm still trying for a low 13!
