shifter for the 4l60e
well i have a 02 t/a i just got and about to start the upgrades and was wondering is there a shifter like the b&m rachet shifter or somthing like that for the 4l60e. i just hate that stock shifter, looks kinda like a rubber mallet.

Ok relax, here you go:
Take a small thin head screwdriver and place it in the eyelit at just above the base of your "rubber mallet". (eyelit faces ashtray)
Slip it in and with a little wiggle back & forth you can pry out the almost U-shaped pin fastening the mallet in place.
Now install one of the varius ball shaped etc. new Auto.Shifter heads.
Easy as tieing your laces and removal takes about just as long.
I'm happy with the look on mine.
I hated that "rubber mallet" thing also, and wondered why they had Homer Simpson design that uncool thing to begin with.
