4l80E slip yoke question
What he found was the bushing we installed was too tight. I'm sure that's what you're running into as well. Remove the tailhousing and try to insert the Yoke and then insert it onto the outputshaft to make sure it's not binding on the shaft.
If it won't go into the tailhousing then the bushing will need to be honed. You can do this yourself with some sandpaper and some ScotchBrite. Sand the bushing down using rotating strokes checking it for fitment as you take it down. Once you get a nice fit then you'll buff the bushing with the Scotch Brite. Plan to replace the seal as it will most likely get damaged from the process if you're not careful.
It sucks to have to do it, but I've seen it before. Because of that experience we've began test fitting yokes on the shaft prior to shipping them out.
Holler at me if you need to.
