Default 2000 LQ4 to TH400

so if you hooked an older 2000 LQ4 with the longer crank, its like 7/16s in longer i think, to a th400 in my head the older style th350/400 stall would bolt right in and you wouldnt have to worry about getting an aftermarket spacer or the longer snout stall? is that correct? has anyone thought or tried this before????

I read some where that it works out.
I also read that GM does not make a replacement crank that is that long any more.
Instead they sell the regular crank with a spacer. You can use this spacer on the shorter cranks to bolt up to a th350/400.
I can't find where I read this info, so take it with a grain of salt.....
