I just ordered a Circle D "4C" about an hour ago. I can't wait to see how it performs!

Find someone that has a bigger converter in their car and go for a ride. I was really hesitant to go with a ss4000 since it is my dd, but its very tolerable. Hell I plan on going to a pt4000 next time my car is down for a while.

I recently got a ss3600 for my bolt on car. It seems like it is going to work out well but I almost wish I would have got a larger one "It is very very tight". Overall I think yank is a great choice.

Circle D 3C, better than good on the street and on the track.

Picked up something like 5 MPH with the Circle D 3C and a big drop in ET.

That is a very well thought out set up you have. It's the best of both worlds!

Normally I would suggest the SS4000, but he mentioned roll racing, and I can't help but throw the PT out there....Can't touch it for roll racing!! In all honesty, the PT4400 is obviously looser than the SS4000, but it wasn't a huge difference and after a few drives, I much prefer the PT in every way over my old SS4000 (I do DD my car BTW). I know I always throw the PT out there, but the PT is so much more converter than either the SS or ST series IMO. If your plans don't include spray, the PT's should be at the top of your list for consideration.

Another option is the PT3800....which does well on spray!

I ran the Yank PT4000 for a couple years with no problems. It's a good street/strip converter because of the low STR, but keep in mind it's a very loose converter compared to the SS series. I switched to the Circle D 5C a couple of months ago and I love this converter.

I am continually amazed at all of the people who recommend a 4000 converter for a DD. I had a 3000 TCI in a stock 98 Z and it was a PITA to drive in stop and go traffic in Tampa. I now have a VIG 3000 in a stock (headers only) 02 Z and love it. This car is my DD. I drove a VIG 3600 car and thought that it would be the max for me for a DD. I would suggest that you drive a 3600 - 4000 stall car and see for yourself. I do know that a good converter is the best investment for an A4 car. PM me for my phone number if you want to discuss more.

In my case, I started with a 3500 and swapped to the 4000, but both left me wanting more. For me, the 4400 is perfect. It drives great around town and while it is looser than the 4000, it wasn't an extreme difference at all. My buddy has my old ST3500 and he thinks my PT4400 isn't any looser than his 3500 after driving my car. I'm just a fan of the bigger converters.

Never having experienced the Circle D units, how's the topend on yours compare to the PT4000? I'm curious because that was the one thing that impressed me more than anything about the PT4400.

Call Marty At Neil Chance Converters- They are the best. had a vig and yank, both performed but nothing like the chance converter. Cost is more but worth it i think.

Did you have 2.73 gears? I thought my TCI 3000 felt quite tight driving in town - but I have 3.42's. My current Yank SS3600 feels just about the same, though.

It's actually better. I was originally worried about the top end, but after a couple of WOT blasts the worry turned into
