TH350 or glide???
I broke my 4L65E a while back and just wondering which would be better to go with. I know the glide would be stronger but is it going to hurt my ET's or help? The car is cam only right now with 150 shot to boot but my neighbor tells me a glide would pick my car up and wouldnt have to worry bout it breaking but on the other hand a ver y good freind of my said it woould be over kill and probaly slowmy car down...he says TH350 so if you guys has any input to help me please enlighten me thanks Jason.
I wouldnt go glide unless you are considering just going ALL OUT. Typically you need quite a bit of power to improve with a glide, and honestly our cars are so heavy you would have to spend a nice penny to get it to hold. Price around. Got a buddy with a glide behind his 408/STS car and hes had to rebuild it already, wasnt that old. He spent a nice amount on it to begin with. Glides dont like heavy cars...now spend 4500 on a glide and it doesnt matter
Ive got a TH350 and really like it...was built right...shifts nice and hard. I didnt even consider a glide when my 60e went...it was TH400 or TH350 for me...TH350 won
Good luck!

I help guys make this decision very frequently... several times a week in fact.
Because it is difficult to have a conversation on the web, why don't you give me a call so that we can discuss it in detail.

How much power do you have, or plan to have. Going with a well built 60E might be the best answer. It gives you overdrive and a lock up, meaning better gas milage. Besides going with a 350 is not that much stronger than a 60E.
