4l80e swap wont shift

alright a buddy of mine did a 4l80e swapp into his 00 SS. the car wont shift. it seems like its in 2nd but not positive. havent tossed any codes yet. all wiring seems to be ok. now the trans is making a slight howl noise. the trans supposly has under 1k in miles. it was bought from a fellow tech member.

I copied the previous owners trans tables into this car's file and nothing. so i looked up a 02 6.0 HD silverado 80e file and did that and still nothing

any help would be appreciated

ok made some progress i completely uploaded the previous owners bin file and seems to be shifting. going to test drive soon

You need to get a segment swap for the 4l80e to make it work you can't just change the table values of your 60e tranny.

2nd gear starts would be a limp mode condition for a 4l80e.

its working and shifting. only thing noticed is the 2-3 shift seems little too long ti shift for part throttle. besides that wot feels pretty good but i would think it would shift harder but not sure how built the trans is. i think owner said its just has better clutches and not a shift kit but not exactly sure.
