Help! 4L60E trans capacity?

I feel like a moron. I want to stop by the performance shop today during lunch and pickup some REDLINE D4. However, I left my owners' manual sitting on a shelf in the garage and cannot remember the amount of trans fluid my 4L60E takes. Something like 10 quarts sticks in my mind, but am not sure.
Can someone help me out? I'd like to pickup the fluid today.
Thanks! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

10 quarts will be more than enough. The pan holds 5 quarts. The tranny and converter (emtpy) holds 11 quarts. I would said get 6 to 7 quarts to allow for drain back from converter.

Kevin,
thanks. If you are with the same TCI, I have one of your pans. That is why I am remembering it was nearly 10 quarts. The deep racing aluminum pan adds 2 qt. to the capacity.
Is it OK to drain the pan, then run the motor in park for 20 sec to pump out the rest of the fluid? (I'm changing over to REDLINE, so more than just a normal fluid refresh.) I'm leery of the chance of running it dry, but have heard of others doing this when changing to a different fluid. I know REDLINE will blend with normal stuff, but would like a more complete change-over.
thanks again,
Todd

Since you have a deep pan then I would get 9-10 quarts. I WOULD NOT let the motor run in park with no trans fluid in the transmission. I would let the trans drain as long as possible. Not all the trans fluid is going to come out.
