Re: Anyone here done a conversion from an M6 to an A4?
I know that I will need everything that a 4L60E consists of, but will anything need to be modified? I know that Im going to have to get the automatic portion of the console. The shifter, the shift handle/****, and the linkage. By the way, what all linkage do I need and what are the correct names for them? Will anything need to be modified in the console section or will everything be a direct swap? For instance: Does the hole in the floor board need to be enlarged or a plate to make it smaller, will anything need to be relocated, drilled, removed, etc.? What about the wires or whatnot that whenever its in reverse, the reverse lights come on? What I do know is that, the conversion that Im doing, (200-4R) the stock shifter, console, linkage, etc. can all be used without any modifications with the 200-4R. But the thing is, Im coming from an M6 and I need to know what has to be done to switch everything out? About the tranny crossmember, I can use the M6 one, but will have to be relocated a 1/2" forward with using some spacers custom fabricated. Anyhow, dont want to pile too many questions at one time, so we'll go from here. Thanks in advance. Every bit helps!
