Default What stall for my daily driver?

I have a 72 nova with a STOCK lq4 in it and an un-rebuilt th350. I'm considering getting a converter since I have no idea what stall the current one is or how old it is, and the acceleration is pretty slow, it just doesn't feel like the converter is currently "hooking" properly I guess you could say.

The car will be a daily driver with no intention of squeezing every last tenth or mph out of it, and I really want to keep it as mpg-friendly as possible.

So, what stall am I looking at, high-2000's? 3200? I have no idea, I'm an automatic newb!!
