Will the tranny show as being overfull if the pump is screwed up?

There are no forward gears and no reverse. With the cooler lines disconnected there is no flow at all.

The dipstick reads a few inches overfull is it because the pump is shot?

 

That would indicated a busted pump , Was this recent installation ?

 

No the tranny has been in for about 5K miles. I'm going to shhot you a pm with the story.
