Default Just installed my 4000 vig!

like said in the title, i just installed my 4000 stall and a ms4 cam. i will be getting the tune mon. or tues, whenever they can fit me in. but my question is, when i get my car tuned, what is a good speed and what gears should i have my converter lock-up? also i have heard that vigilante's always flash a lot higher than they say, do any of you know if this is true or not?

From what I've seen, the Vig converters always seem to be higher than their rated stall; which is not a bad thing. I assume you're talking about 4th gear lock up. You will have to raise it higher than stock. How much depends on your exact setup, converter and driving style. The optimum lockup point for my previous converter; Yank PT4000 was at 51 mph (37% TPS). It didn't like to lock any lower than that. My new Circle D 5C (5000 stall) is perfectly happy with the same exact lock up.
