Default Trans lines for a 4L65E

I am currently installing a LS2 with a 4L65E trans in my 67 Chevelle. The question I have is that I want to run braided lines on my trans to a remote cooler, due to inpart that the factory lines won't clear the headers and they just look ugly. Does anyone make a complete kit? Also what size is the thread in the trans? If nobody makes one I guess i'll have to put one together myself.

The fitting for the trans is a 1/4 pipe to -6AN fitting. I do not think there is set kit out there so you will be piecing it together so to speak. Vince

Vince thanks i appreciate it, I am nearby northside Chicago so if I have any issues with the trans you will be getting some business.

I also had one other question that I forgot to post. I do not have a radiator for the car yet and was wondering if I should run the cooler in the rad or a external cooler. The trans is 100% stock.

The idea with the radiator is to help warm the trans up to temp when it is cold out. If you are not going to drive this when it's cold out, I would say you will be fine just running the just external cooler. That is really a good question that many never think of. Good luck with the build an make sure to let us know if you need anything. Vince

vince, if we bypass the radiator the trans will run cooler. Is it a bad idea?
